History
The founders of the company are Todd Graves and Craig Silvey. They were not studying at the same university when they composed a plan for a chicken finger restaurant. At that time, Craig submitted to a business plan writing course, getting a C minus grade. Meanwhile, Todd worked at Guthrie’s Chicken Fingers. Their business plan was rejected several times by the investors. To earn money, they earned money by working in several manual labor jobs. Also, they took a United States Small Business Administration (SBA) loan. With the help of the loan, they opened their first restaurant which is located in Baton Rouge near Louisiana State University campus.
After that, Craig sold his share of the partnership in a very short time just after the second restaurant opened. Several locations of the restaurant switched from dine-in to pick-up in March 2020. At the time of the COVID-19 Pandemic, take-out service was introduced by the restaurants. Meanwhile, all other services were closed temporarily. Once things got normal, in July 2020, some locations renewed their dining rooms.
Subsequently, in 2021, the problem was arising of a shortage of workers. For this reason, the company started offering jobs for hundreds of corporate employees to work in their restaurants for the posts of cooks and Cashier. Along with that, the company made a plan to hire 10000 new employees. Also, the CEO of the company also said that corporate employees were trained in the kitchen.
